OUR ENVIRONMENTAL COMMITMENTS

Hotel establishments play a vital role in the tourism industry, a key sector in the economic development of seaside towns. Our growth is based on both community support and environmental preservation.

Every year, Le Café de Paris welcomes more than 10,000 customers to Biarritz: in order to preserve our natural and cultural heritage, our commitment is dedicated to different areas of responsibility:

WE ARE RAISING AWARENESS AMONG OUR TEAMS AND OUR CUSTOMERS

• Our teams are trained in eco-friendly actions to follow in their daily tasks;
• We favor committed service providers and suppliers;
• We provide our customers with information on responsible tourism, natural sites, flora and fauna in the surrounding area;
• We offer alternatives to limit car travel: bike rental/loan through our local partner, shuttles, public transport, carpooling...

WE SAVE WATER AND ENERGY

• We have installed water savers/pressure reducers on taps and showers;
• We are committed to the preservation and protection of natural resources by offering you the choice of daily changing of your sheets and towels.
• We replace each bulb with an LED or low-energy bulb and have already equipped more than 75% of our lighting;
• We have installed presence detectors and timers in common areas;

WE LIMIT AND SORT WASTE

• Tri sélectif dans les chambres : une poubelle de tri est à votre disposition en chambre pour trois catégories : déchets ménagers, emballages (papier/carton/plastique/emballages métalliques) et le verre.
• We sort all types of waste including biowaste;
• We work with a majority of products in bulk or in large packaging;

• We do not use any disposable tableware;

WE CARE ABOUT THE WELL-BEING OF OUR CUSTOMERS

• Our restaurant menu and breakfast feature organic products;
• The products used to clean our rooms carry an eco-label.
• For the well-being of our teams and yours, we have banned bleach, which irritates the respiratory tract and is toxic to aquatic organisms;
• Our establishment is completely non-smoking;

• Since 2024 we have been supporting the local association Goxa Leku, which helps people with cancer with financial and participatory actions all year round.
• We have set up a catalogue of sports, cultural and well-being experiences with local partners, available all year round.
